When I decided to publish Not Your Mother’s Mystic and leave my job to promote it, I didn’t have a safety net. I didn’t have another job lined up or even a plan.
I had debt, wild faith, and a book I felt called to share—a story of healing, hope, and possibility that needed to be heard.
I also had a list of missed opportunities, missed connections, and friends I kept meaning to catch up with. I was always putting work first, believing that if I took a break, I’d fall too far behind.
Working as a medium has given me a new perspective: the bills will always be there.
The work, the stress, the debt—they’ll still be waiting.
But family, friends, and once-in-a-lifetime chances might not be.
The chance to make a memory, strengthen a bond, or meet someone new is never guaranteed. We don’t have forever. We just don’t.
So during this wild trust fall, I’m making time for adventure.
I’m stepping away from the screen and into the wild.
I’m listening for tree whispers and bird stories instead of Teams notifications.
Literally. I’m at Telepathy Camp with Jumpsuit Community—practicing how to listen to the silence, explore consciousness, and talk to trees.
I’m meeting people who take innovative and creative thinking to the next level.
Does this sound crazy to you? That’s okay if it does. It used to sound crazy to me too.
Then I had an experience that completely changed how I perceived the world.
I used to believe that if I worked harder and sacrificed more, my efforts would be rewarded with security and fulfillment.
Now I believe that happens when you listen to silence—and talk to trees.
Have you ever had a belief system turned upside down?
Have fun!
I'll be building an anti-telepathy helmet now..
